One Year Later
During the first weekend of November, 2012, my son Nathan and left our home in Reno, Nevada behind and headed to the Bay Area with Mom, Dad, and Kristy’s family. We called it a trial move, but I had a feeling it would be permanent, and sure enough it was.
Exactly one year later, we had a very different first weekend of November. Instead of saying goodbye to friends, I participated in a event that helped launch my newest release, Running with Roselle. The boy who fought to hide his sadness as he left his house, friends, school, and his older brother now overflowed with pride as he helped sign books by stamping each copy with Roselle’s official paw print.
What a difference a year makes. And how kind of God to mark the anniversary of a sad goodbye with a reason to celebrate.
If you are experiencing a painful season that feels like it will never end, let this post remind you that things could look very different at this time next year–different in a good way!
Congratulations, Jeanette! So happy for you and for Nathan. And welcome to Roselle’s family 🙂
Thank you, Susy! I love being part of Roselle’s family :).
Congratulations on the book release, Jeanette. I am thanking God for moving you to Northern California. 🙂 Your move has been a blessing to me, as your writing partner, and to the many people God is using you to encourage and equip through the local writing workshops you’re offering. Nathan is a great young man! I’m excited to see what the Lord does as you continue to surrender your journey to Him in the coming year! Thanks for inspiring me to press on in courage and limitless faith!
I’m thankful that God moved us here, too! I continually thank God for your constant encouragement!
